Rosco's Story

Rosco is a sweet gelding looking for an experienced, competent Guardian who can provide a consistent daily routine. He has a cheeky character and he’s a complete foodie!

Rosco is comfortable being stabled overnight and can be left alone in his stable for short periods. He prefers regular turnout and may become excitable if he is inside for too long, or if he feels worried. Rosco can become strong to lead when worried, and so he needs calm, confident handling. He responds well to reassurance from his handler and positive reinforcement, particularly a nice scratch or the odd treat! He is best suited to an adult Guardian or a family with older children.

Rosco has lived with both mares and geldings and has generally been lower in the herd pecking order. With us, he has been happy to stay in the field on his own, provided other equines have been nearby.

Rosco was found living with other equines in poor conditions. With care from our dedicated vets and plenty of TLC, he responded well and is now thriving.
