Marley's Story

Marley is a sweet, sensitive gelding who loves people and will thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of attention. He can be excitable at times and is looking for a patient, experienced Guardian who can provide consistent handling and continue his training in the home.

Marley can become worried, particularly if he has not encountered a situation for a while, such as wearing a rug, but he settles with understanding and reassurance. His new Guardian will need to have the time, confidence and experience to introduce some things gently.

He can be stabled at night or live out, although he would prefer to live out. His new home needs secure fencing as he likes to explore. Marley has lived with both mares and geldings and is currently turned out with geldings. He gets on well with others but can be dominant, particularly around food. He needs constant equine companionship and must not be left on his own. He loves his food and his weight should be routinely monitored to keep him within a healthy range.  

Marley was only a foal when he was found wandering alone through a small town. He was taken in by SWHP and later came to Redwings when he returned from his Guardian home.

Marley has lots of character and is a pleasure to be around, we are hopeful to find him a new and loving home soon. If you can offer Marley the home he deserves, please get in touch.
