Cynthia is light and responsive to handle and has made good progress with her handling training. She can be sensitive, and she benefits from patient, confident handling and a routine. Any new experiences should be introduced gradually, including things such as using mane and tail sprays.
Cynthia is best suited to an experienced home where she can build a one-to-one relationship with her Guardian. She has been turned out with both mares and geldings. She sits around the middle of the pecking order and prefers to have other horses nearby. As she has not been left alone with us and enjoys equine companionship, she may not cope being left alone. Cynthia has been happy living out all year but can be stabled at night. She has been respectful of fencing with us.
Cynthia will need a restricted diet to keep her at a healthy weight. She is suitable as a companion only, as she is mildly ataxic.
Cynthia arrived at Redwings in 2019 after being found pregnant and living in very poor conditions. Soon after, she gave birth to a beautiful foal, who is now happily settled in a loving Guardian home.
If you could offer Cynthia the quiet, caring home she deserves, we would love to hear from you.
