Mike's Story

Mike is a handsome gelding looking for a home as a non-ridden companion.

He has a very sweet nature and enjoys interaction with people but he can take a while to learn anything new. He is a good boy to catch and he enjoys being groomed but he needs regular and consistent leg handling as he can be a bit snatchy with his legs at times. He needs an experienced and confident handler who is willing to work with him when addressing any leg handling issues.

He is happy to live out all year but he also enjoys time in a stable. He has been a great babysitter and calming influence for our other equines when they have been going into stables and out for walks. Mike has been turned out with mares and geldings, he has a dominant nature and he requires gradual integration.

Mike was born at Redwings after his mother was found emaciated and desperately in need of water. Thankfully, she made a great recovery and she was a brilliant mum to Mike.
