Margot's Story

Margot is a very sweet little mare looking for a home as a non-ridden companion.

Margot is a good girl to catch, lead and groom. She can be a little timid at times so will need a sympathetic and patient Guardian who can give her the time she deserves to build her confidence in the home.

Margot has the makings of the perfect companion as she gets on well with other horses, and has lived with both mares and geldings at Redwings. She is happy to live out or come into a stable at night.

Margot was one of 35 ponies rescued from a stretch of riverbank. Many were emaciated, with matted manes and tails and heavily infested with lice. The land was waterlogged, with sparse grazing, and littered with rubbish and broken machinery that posed a hazard to the ponies.
