Lara's Story

Lara is sensitive by nature, and gentle to handle in her daily routine. She can become a little excitable at times and because of this, she will need a confident and understanding handler who can support her with calm reassurance.

Lara enjoys the comfort of her stable and if she is turned out overnight, she is always eager to come in from the field the following morning, even when she has access to a shelter. She doesn't enjoy the cold weather, so she does require a cosy rug during the winter months. She has been respectful of fencing with us and has happily lived with both mares and geldings.

Lara has been comfortable spending time alone in her stable with us, however, we cannot be certain how she will cope with this in a new environment, so any time alone should be introduced gradually.

Lara was found severely underweight and infested with lice, she has made a remarkable recovery and is now ready for a new Guardian who can offer her the time, love, and care she deserves.
