Julia's story

Location: Lancashire
Horses infected: 3

I volunteer at a horse sanctuary which has 56 horses, ponies and goats, 3 of our horses had strangles and we had to lockdown until it was clear.

We put the outbreak in the local paper to alert others, we didn't hide it.

All the horses infected are all now well and healthy .it could have been so much worse due to the amount of four legged friends we have at the sanctuary
