Ready, teddy, go!

Teddy tombola raises funds for Redwings Horse Sanctuary

An amazing £465 has been raised for Redwings thanks to teddy bears!

Over the Easter school holidays, Redwings Caldecott near Great Yarmouth hosted a teddy bear tombola. Visitors paid just £1 for a ticket and everyone was a winner – which gives you an idea of just how many soft toys our generous supporters have donated in recent months!

The tombola’s fundraising total could pay for health checks for nine new arrivals to the Sanctuary or provide enough hay to feed 31 horses for a month.

Anne Galloway, Redwings’ Gifts in Kind Manager, said: “We’re delighted by the success of our teddy tombola. It goes to show that all donations – whether it’s money or preloved items – go a long way in supporting the care of our rescued residents.”

Did you know that you can support to Redwings by donating your preloved and unwanted items to us? We accept a wide range of goods including household items, toys, clothing and even used stamps, which can all be resold to raise vital funds.

You can either bring your items to your nearest Redwings visitor centre or contact our dedicated Gifts in Kind Manager, Anne Galloway, for more information on how to make a donation.
