Redwings Caldecott

Redwings Caldecott is our largest visitor centre and is currently home to over 100 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

Here you can meet mini but mighty Shetland pony Sampson, plus a whole herd of donkeys and mules – including adorable donkey Esther and Fox the handsome Shire!

The visitor centre has reopened!

Redwings Caldecott is welcoming visitors every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), 10am to 4pm.

While the majority of compulsory Covid rules have now been lifted, we are continuing to ask supporters to pre-book time slots for their visits to ensure the number of people at the centre remains at a controlled level at all times and help keep our horse care team safe.

Tickets can be booked here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/redwings-caldecott-entrance-tickets-september-october-tickets-151182873043

If you would like to organise a visit on behalf of a school or youth group, please email education@redwings.co.uk so we can discuss your needs.

Entry remains free but donations would be welcome towards the care of our lovely rescued residents.

During your visit to Redwings Caldecott we will also be asking you to continue keeping to the following measures:

All proceeds go towards funding the work of the Sanctuary. That means every time you buy something to eat, you are helping to keep our horses and donkeys fed too. What a great excuse to treat yourself to a piece of cake or an extra cup of tea!

Memory Garden

We've created a new Memory Garden at Redwings Caldecott to provide a welcoming and reflective space for our supporters to remember lost loved ones, both people and pets. You can find out more about the project by clicking hereAs part of the project, we have moved all the plaques from our existing memorial area to their new position in the Memory Garden.
