Redwings announced as Horse of the Year Show's official charity for 2026

We have been announced as Horse of the Year Show's Official Charity for 2026, bringing together two organisations united by a passion for horses and commitment to their welfare.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham from 7 - 11 October, HOYS will work with us throughout this year’s show to raise awareness of equine welfare and support our vital work rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for horses, ponies, donkeys and mules across the UK.

The partnership will provide an opportunity for HOYS visitors to learn more about Redwings’ work and find out how they can support us.

The partnership will also see HOYS support our Keep Horses In Mind campaign, highlighting the impact fireworks can have on horses and encouraging greater consideration for animals during celebrations. With the Government currently consulting on proposed changes to fireworks regulations, after we secured a Parliamentary debate in January, HOYS has committed to helping us raise awareness of the campaign and encourage its audience to learn more about how fireworks can affect horses.

HOYS Show Event Director Emma Williams said: “We are delighted to welcome Redwings Horse Sanctuary as our Official Charity of the Year for 2026. The welfare of horses is at the heart of everything we do at Horse of the Year Show, so partnering with an organisation that works tirelessly to protect and improve the lives of horses is a natural fit.

“Redwings does incredible work across the UK, from rescuing horses in desperate need to providing lifelong care, rehoming and campaigning on some of the most important welfare issues facing horses today.”
