Merry Christmas #RedwingsAngels!
With the big day fast approaching, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas! Whether you've visited us, shared our work online, supported our campaigns, rehomed one of our rescued horses, sponsored an Adoption Star, or shown your support for Redwings in any number of ways - thank you! As a charity 100% funded by donations, every way you have showed your support for Redwings this year has meant so much to us.
In the run-up to Christmas, our teams across Redwings have come together to make our very own version of a classic Christmas poem. Written by our Communications team, and voiced by Redwings colleagues from across the UK, we proudly present 'Twas the morning of Christmas' - a very heart-warming look at the work that will be continuing across Redwings this festive season! If you fancy some festive feel-good, you can click the photo of gorgeous Jack below to watch - we highly recommend it!
Our offices will close on Wednesday 24th December at 4pm, and will reopen on Friday 2nd January. Any orders placed online for gifts or to sponsor an Adoption Star will be processed once our offices reopen in the New Year.
Our welfare line will also be closed during this time. Anyone with a concern about a horse over the festive period is still welcome to leave a message, or in the case of an emergency, please get in touch with the RSPCA. You can find further information about how to make a report here.
If you’d like to visit our rescued horses and donkeys over the Christmas break, you can! Our English Visitor Centres will be closed on Boxing Day (Friday 26th). But, they will then be open on Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th and Monday 29th December from 10am until 4pm, making them the perfect opportunity to get outside and stretch your legs in-between Christmas and New Year! For more information about visiting Redwings, click here.
Redwings Mountains in Scotland will continue to offer private visits on Mondays and Fridays in the New Year. Please check the centre’s page for details of how you can book your visit.
Thank you once again for all your have done to support our work, and a special thank you to our volunteers who help support our work. Last but by no means least, a huge thank you to all our staff, who will be out in all weathers caring for our rescued horses and donkeys throughout Christmas, for their exceptional care and dedication.
We hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2026!
