If you are over 18, volunteering is a great way to support us here at Redwings!
You can directly impact the care of our rescued residents by helping us to improve the experience for our visitors and supporters at our centres.
By regularly giving a few hours of your time you could meet new friends, learn new skills, build self-confidence or maybe even improve your own wellbeing; we highly recommend a walk around the paddocks or a quick “chat” with your favourite rescue at the paddock fence before or after your shift!
Please note: sadly we are currently unable to offer voluntary roles working with the equines.
make a difference to the lives of our horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

One of our amazing volunteers
“The best thing about volunteering is that I really enjoy meeting people and the satisfaction of getting jobs done! The team are friendly and welcoming, and the process to join as a volunteer was easy and helpful with in-person and paper applications.”
Volunteer Gardener and Café Assistant
“I enjoy volunteering at Anna Sewell House because I am passionate about horses and the work Redwings does, and would like to give my time to the charity. It also allows me to make friends with people I wouldn’t have met otherwise“
If your workplace allows you time to volunteer, we would love you to think of us!
Previous corporate groups have refreshed memorial gardens, mended fences, painted shelters, dismantled playgrounds, laid new pathways...you name it, they’ve done it!
We always have a range of tasks and projects, big and small, that we like to carefully match to each group.
Although we are unable to offer volunteering directly with the horses, the nature of our sites means that you will never be far from our 4-legged lovelies. Our corporate days also include an introduction to Redwings, who we are and what we do, lunch of course, and...after you’ve worked your socks off (!!)....a tour of the paddocks, introducing you to our wonderful, rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, sharing some of their back stories and giving you an insight into their very individual characters.
We love our volunteers! If you have any questions about volunteering with us or any aspect of our work please don't hesitate to get in touch.
