A new online marketplace that brings savings to equestrians by offering clearance, outlet and pre-loved products at accessible prices, is donating 1.5% of profits to Redwings.
The Equine Market will soon also feature a ‘round-up for Redwings’ option at the checkout, when people make a purchase.
Founder and owner Kayleigh Price, who is from Caerphilly, has recently won 'Wales Retail Entrepreneur of the Year' at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. She is a BHS Stage 4 accredited professional and former BHS Welfare Officer, who spent years within the equine industry witnessing how increasing costs and retail mark-ups can make horse riding financially challenging for many.
Kayleigh said: “I don’t believe anyone should be priced out of the horse world and I’m on a mission to make horse riding more affordable and accessible for the everyday rider.
“My vision for The Equine Market is simple: a fairer marketplace that champions value, supports equestrians at every level, and offers a smarter, more affordable way to ride.
“After repeatedly replacing perfectly good riding gear for my growing daughter Sydney-Rose, I just knew there needed to be a better system — one where great kit stays in circulation and riders save money rather than overspend.”
On her support for us here at Redwings, Kayleigh said: “As someone who has spent my life around horses, I know how much they give us - supporting Redwings is my way of giving something back to them.
“A percentage of the profits from The Equine Market will go towards helping Redwings look after the horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in their care and soon you’ll be able to round up what you pay and we’ll pass that donation onto this wonderful charity too.”
Nicola Knight, Redwings Head of Communications and Campaigns, said: “We’re very excited to be working with Kayleigh and The Equine Market and we’re so grateful for this amazing support from such an innovative organisation. It’s more difficult than ever for charities in the current climate, and we know it’s tough for horse owners too, so hopefully everyone will benefit from this! Thank you, Kayleigh.”
