Redwings Oxhill

Redwings Oxhill is home to almost 90 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys, including the most friendly group of cobs known as "The Breakfast Club" because they’re all named after breakfast items!

We are currently trialling the phased reopening of Redwings Oxhill.

Redwings Oxhill will be welcoming back visitors on two weekends; Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th September, and Saturday 24th - Sunday 25th October.

However there have been some changes to ensure we keep you all safe! These include:

Our opening times have been reduced to between 10.30am and 3pm.

Visitors must book a time slot for their arrival to ensure the number of people at the centres remains at a safe level at all times. You can book your slot here: (Please note that following the change in the law we are unable to take bookings for groups larger than six people. Thank you for your understanding).

Entry remains free but donations would be welcome towards the care of our lovely rescued residents.

There is a one-way route around the centre to help everyone maintain social distancing.

Our gift shop is open on a limited basis and we're providing a takeaway service of drinks and pre-packaged snacks from our cafe. Meanwhile, our play area will remain closed for now.

To help protect our equine care teams, we're asking for now that visitors avoid touching our fencelines or horses.

Find out more below and on our FAQs page here - we are so looking forward to welcoming you back!

How to find us

Redwings Oxhill is situated 10 miles south of Stratford upon Avon on the A422 (avoid diverting into Oxhill village). Postcode: CV35 0RP.

The Nosebag Café and gift shop

The gift shop is open on a limited basis and the cafe is offering takeaway drinks and a limited range of pre-packaged snacks. All proceeds go towards funding the work of the Sanctuary. That means every time you buy something to eat, you are helping to keep our horses and donkeys fed too. What a great excuse to treat yourself to a piece of cake or an extra cup of tea!

Memorial plaques

Please be aware that the plaques in our memorial garden have been temporarily removed for cleaning.
