Redwings Mountains

Set in 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland our Scottish centre provides a place of sanctuary to 90 horses, ponies and donkeys, as well as bountiful wildlife including red squirrels and mountain birds.

The visitor centre has reopened on a limited basis.

We are offering the opportunity for supporters to book private visits on Fridays and Mondays. PLEASE NOTE: sadly bookings for Friday 1st July and Monday 4th July are cancelled due to illness. The shop will also be closed. To enquire about a visit to Redwings Mountains on future Fridays and Mondays, please email

And please note that our pre-loved gift and tack shop is open every Friday and Monday 10:30am – 3:30pm and on select weekends.

Entry remains free but we'd love visitors to consider making a donation towards the care of our rescued residents.

During your visit to Redwings Mountains we will ask you to adhere to the following measures: 

  • Please keep to a one-way route around the centre to help everyone maintain social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be available across the site.
  • There will be access to our gift shop (in accordance with Government guidance at the time) and we will be selling drinks and pre-packaged snacks to takeaway.
  • Please wear face coverings in indoor areas.
