Redwings Ada Cole

Redwings Ada Cole is home to 80 horses, ponies and donkeys, including handsome Gelderlander Zippy, cheeky donkey Del Boy, lovely Shetland pony Tinkerbell and rock ‘n’ roll pony Elvis – not forgetting Redwings’ tiniest resident, Teeny Tucker!

The visitor centre has reopened on a limited basis.

Saturday 17th December and Sunday 18th December​

While the majority of compulsory Covid rules have now been lifted, we are continuing to ask supporters to pre-book time slots for their visits on these weekends to ensure the number of people at the centre remains at a controlled level at all times and to help keep our horse care team safe.

In addition, we are offering the opportunity for supporters to book private visits on Fridays and Mondays. To enquire about a visit to Redwings Ada Cole on these days, please email

Entry remains free but we'd love visitors to consider making a donation towards the care of our rescued residents.

During your visit to Redwings Ada Cole we will also be asking you to continue keeping to the following measures: 

  • Please keep to a one-way route around the centre to help everyone maintain social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be available across the site.
  • Our gift shop is open and Dolly's Café will be selling drinks and pre-packaged snacks to takeaway only.
  • We encourage the wearing of face coverings in indoor areas.
