Curtis puts his best foot forward!

Fundraise to help rescued horses

We’d like to say a big thank you to one of our long-term supporters, Curtis Sayers, who is expected to have raised over £150 for Redwings by completing his first 5k run.

Curtis, from Essex, said he had grown up visiting and sponsoring our rescued residents at Redwings Ada Cole and saw the run as an opportunity to improve his fitness and raise money.

After weeks of training and practising at his local Park Run, Curtis completed his challenge on Sunday 1st May, which involved him running from Little Parndon Primary School, in nearby Harlow, to the entrance of the Ada Cole Visitor Centre.

Curtis has raised a fantastic £150 so far – an amount which could help fill the stables of 15 poorly residents with comfy bedding or pay for the daily care of 18 horses!

But there’s still time to help his sponsorship total climb even further! If you’ve been inspired by Curtis’ efforts, click here to donate via his JustGiving page or perhaps even have a go at running yourself. Remember to let us know how you get on!
