“Little donkey, little donkey…”

Aylsham Church and local school children perform nativity play at Redwings Aylsham

Last Friday, wonder, joy and excitement landed over Redwings Aylsham as Aylsham Parish Church along with school groups from John of Gaunt and St Michael’s journeyed to our visitor centre, where they acted out their annual nativity play.

Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels and kings all braved the windy weather as they travelled to Bethlehem, but the sun did make an appearance as the children finished their journey at a field shelter where they performed the story of the nativity.

Afterwards, the children learnt all about donkeys when they met Adoption Stars Wiggins and Wacko and their friends Derek and Harry in the shelter of the stable. The donkeys were happy to play their role, receiving plenty of festive cuddles and scratches from the children.
