Gifts in wills make up the largest proportion of our income – in fact, we simply couldn’t function without them. Thank you for caring about horses as much as we do and choosing to find out more about how to remember Redwings in your will.
Before creating a will it is important to consult a solicitor or use a professional service, such as Farewill, so that your will is worded correctly to ensure all those you care about are provided for.
Once you have remembered your family and loved ones, there are many ways to give a lasting gift to Redwings. You could give a specific sum of money (known as a pecuniary legacy), a percentage of what is left when your other wishes have been carried out and expenses met (a residuary legacy) or a particular item or object (such as a painting, jewellery or even a car, known as a specific gift).
If you would like help or advice on making or changing your will, please call our Legacy Manager Katie on 01508 481030 or email email@example.com.
We partner with the largest will writer in the UK, Farewill, to provide a free will writing service for our supporters.
This can be online or over the phone with Farewill, who offers expert checking services to make sure your wishes are clear. Their specialist team are available to help you over the phone or by email six days a week 9am – 6pm.
You can get started straight away from the comfort of your own home by creating your free will online in less than 30 minutes. If your will is more complex (for example if you need specific inheritance tax advice) or if you would prefer to speak to someone, you can create your free will by telephone on 020 8050 2686.
Thank you so much for choosing to remember Redwings in your will. The information you will need to include is our full name, address and our registered charity number, as follows:
If you have included Redwings in your will and are happy to let us know, please call our Legacy Manager Katie on 01508 481030 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We would love to be able to thank you for your generosity.
Due to the ongoing horse welfare crisis, our Sanctuary sites have been running at capacity for many years. We have to prioritise space for those horses in the most desperate of need and that means that sadly we are not always able to offer places for horses whose owners wish to leave them to us in their will.
If you are concerned for the future care of your horse, please speak to our Welfare team on 01508 481008 who can offer advice on your options.
In memory tributes are a unique way to remember someone who loved horses, or even a treasured animal companion.
Our memorial gardens offer a place of peace and remembrance. A personalised plaque can be placed in our gardens at a centre of your choice to visit as often as you like.
For those wishing to make an extra special gift, we can help you choose a fitting tribute. From a memorial bench to a field shelter or stable, we can place your personalised plaque on a facility you fund in memory of a loved one.
