Fantastic festive fundraisers raise £500 for Redwings!

Warwick Preparatory School is fundraising for Redwings

Thank you to the children of Greville House at Warwick Preparatory School who have raised over £500 for Redwings with some fantastically festive fundraisers.

Greville House, one of four houses at the school, has chosen to support us as their charity of the year! They’re going to organise events throughout the school year to raise money towards the care of our horses and donkeys - and two events took place this month!

On 4th December, the school held its annual Christmas tree decoration sale and a charitable Christmas jumper day with the all the money raised by Greville House being donated to Redwings. All children in the school make decorations for the sale in their Design Technology lessons – and don’t they look stunning?!

Laura, House Captain for Greville, said: “It was nice to make the children in the school happy as they were so excited to be able to buy decorations for their tree at home. Upper Two, the oldest children in the school, are responsible for selling all the decorations. I really enjoyed raising money for Redwings in such an enjoyable, festive way.”

The money raised by Greville House during the fundraisers could pay for enough hay to feed more than 30 horses over Christmas!

If that wasn’t enough, the school’s Equestrian Club is also sponsoring super-fluffy Adoption Star donkey Arya, who lives at our nearby Oxhill visitor centre, in Warwickshire.

Thank you to everyone at Warwick Preparatory School for amazing support and fundraising!
