Cheese and wine event raises £282

We wonder if biomechanics trainer Nicky Donohue had our cheesy Miniature Shetlands Wensley and Gorgy (pictured) on her mind when organising her latest fundraising event?

Nicky, who helps to train our rescued horses looking for loving new Guardian homes, recently hosted a cheese and wine event for her friends and raised a fantastic £282 for Redwings.

The event also doubled up as a bring and buy sale, and everyone had a good giggle selecting new outfits from the donated clothes.

The generous group also donated a pair of Premier Equine Magnetic Boot Wraps and three head collars for use by our horses.

Last year, Nicky raised £100 through a similar clothes and shoe swap event. With almost £400 donated by Nicky, we could buy 40 large bags of horse feed or provide hay for 26 of our horses for a whole month!

Thank you Nicky and her friends!
