Visitor Engagement Ambassador


To assist Redwings Horse Sanctuary by providing your time to carry out pre-agreed tasks which support the charity in achieving its purpose and mission.

Below is a description of the type of tasks that you may undertake during your placement;


  • Visitor engagement during busy times such as weekends, school holidays, bank holidays and Adoption Stars birthday parties, and at External Events that Redwings attends to promote the charity. 
  • Help to set up stands/ activities at the visitor centres or external event location. Update boards and activities schedules as needed.
  • Direct visitors to any activities taking place and explain these to them.
  • Respond to visitor enquiries and direct them to a staff member if needed. 
  • Promote to visitors the work of Redwings i.e. Rescue, Rehabilitation, Care, Rehoming and Education and convey to the latest Redwings news and information about the residents.
  • Promote the benefits of our Adoption scheme, current fundraising initiatives and visiting Redwings; hand out appropriate literature. 

All volunteers must be sympathetic to and able to project the philosophy and concept of equine welfare; supporting a charity, and Redwings values.

Redwings Horse Sanctuary is very much a community and all volunteers are encouraged to be part of its day to day life.

All volunteers must take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
