Closed for the Winter

Our Caldecott centre is now closed for the Winter. Thank you to everyone who has come to visit us over the 2009 season, we do hope you enjoyed your visit and would like to thank you for all your fantastic support.

All the horses and ponies from the centre will be returning to other sites around Norfolk for the Winter, but you will still be able to visit your adoption friend at our Hapton Christmas Open Weekend on December 5th and 6th - please follow this link for details >>>>>>>. And don't forget, our visitor centres in Essex and Warwickshire are open all year round, follow the links on the left hand side of the page for more information.

Meanwhile, Caldecott will reopen on Saturday March 27th, 2010. We hope to see you then!

Caldecott Visitor Centre, Norfolk

Ponies by the Sea!

Our Caldecott Visitor Centre near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk has over seventy acres of paddocks and is home to some very special rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

This Quality Assured Visitor Attraction is open during the Summer season from March to October and has many lovely residents to meet, from handsome heavy horse Prince to the notorious Denise, a very naughty donkey!

What to do

There are tractor rides (weather permitting), walking tours, horse care demos and a children’s play area as well as the chance to rub noses with our residents!

The site also has a café, gift shop, information centre, charity shop, tombola and the Horse Wise Education Centre with horsey facts and interactive displays.

The new, improved café menu includes jacket potatoes, paninis and baguettes, afternoon tea, soups and delicious cakes. We are serving Fair Trade teas and coffees too and every Wednesday we offer all Senior Citizens a 10% discount in our café - please come along and see us soon!
