Donkeys Derek and Clive are spending a little time at our Horse Hospital as Clive is feeling a little poorly. We're hoping they'll be back at Redwings Aylsham very soon!
So much to do this summer at Redwings Aylsham!
Our summer of fun continues at our fabulous Aylsham visitor centre as we turn our attention to Redwings’ impressive larger residents, right up to September 4th.
The centre is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and entry is completely free of charge!
Having already celebrated the wonderful characters of our donkeys and ponies in a fun-filled schedule of daily activities, it’s the turn of gorgeous horses, like Adoption Stars Gulliver and Maya, to take the limelight. Our hands-on activity sessions, guided walks and special demonstrations will help everyone to make the most of our fantastic residents and their home in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Simply click here to download our day-by-day activity schedule to plan your trip.
Don’t forget our special Summer Club too! The club runs every Friday and gives children a chance to see behind the scenes at the UK’s largest horse charity, and find out how and why we care for so many amazing rescued horses and donkeys.
As if that wasn’t enough, Redwings is also holding a second-hand book fair at Aylsham from 21st – 24th and 28th – 31st August. Come and browse a huge range of donated books that will help us raise funds to care for our residents and help even more horses in need. With drinks and snacks on sale in our spacious visitor centre you don’t even need to wait to get home before enjoying a cuppa and getting stuck into your new reads!
And last but definitely not least, we will be celebrating Adoption Star Gulliver’s 9th birthday with his very own party on Sunday 30th August! This gorgeous and wonderfully sweet-natured chap will enjoy a day of pampering and well-deserved attention so please do come and help us make it a really special day and join in the party games too!
For more information just pop into the centre or ring 0870 040 0033. Please note that spaces are limited for some activities and a suggested donation applies. We hope to see you soon!
