Redwings' new visitor centre in Aylsham

Aylsham Latest

17 June 2015 by Redwings Press Office

Take a walk on the wild side!

Have you discovered our wildlife walk at Redwings Aylsham?

Our beautiful visitor centre isn’t only home to more than 50 wonderful rescued horse, ponies, donkeys and mules, it is a haven for wildlife too and we are looking after the site to make sure that birds, beasts and butterflies feel as welcome as our visitors!

The wildlife walk will take you past trees, ponds and grassland where you can hear skylarks singing their hearts out and see dragonflies whizzing over the water. Recent sightings include otters, kestrels and a beautiful barn owl hunting over the meadows.

Redwings Aylsham is our newest visitor centre and it’s fantastic to see the site evolving in our care. The horsey residents are certainly loving their home in the North Norfolk countryside and if you haven’t visited us yet, do drop in and enjoy all the centre has to offer for yourself! You may only catch a glimpse of some of our wildlife stars, but our horses are much less shy and love a bit of fuss!

Redwings Aylsham is open from Friday to Monday every week between 10am and 4pm. Entry and parking are completely free of charge and our stunning visitor centre building has a café offering hot and cold drinks and snacks and a well-stocked gift shop. We look forward to seeing you soon!
