Have an Awesome Autumn at Aylsham!
Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, our Aylsham visitor centre in North Norfolk has a packed schedule for you and your family to enjoy this Autumn.
Each weekend, from the 25th October to the 2nd November, you’ll be able to join in with our “Awesome Autumn quiz trail” around the visitor centre, walk and talk tours to meet our horsey and donkey residents, and fascinating handling demonstrations.
We’re also offering daily pony grooming taster sessions for children over five years old with the help of some of our adorable Shetlands! Spaces are limited to three children per session so be sure to book your place early from the information centre*.
As an exciting change to usual proceedings, Redwings Aylsham is opening its doors on Wednesday 29th October from 6.45-9pm so you can experience the centre after dark! Here, you’ll get to meet our residents and learn about the care they receive as the nights draw in. Spaces are limited to this special event, so be sure to book your place early via the information centre. There will also be fun activities taking place inside the information centre and hot drinks available from the cafe to warm up after your night-time exploration!
Similarly, on Tuesday 28th October, we'll be holding a tack sale from 10am to 2pm, so be sure to come along and check out our wares!
Finally, on Friday 31st and Saturday 1st November, be prepared to don your best fancy dress costume for a fun-filled day of spooky goings on; including a “Creepy things” talk and “Horsey trick or treats”! At the end of each day, Redwings mascot Red will judge the fancy dress to crown the best dressed supporter!
