Winter fun at Redwings Aylsham
It may be feeling wintery outside, but here at Redwings Aylsham our horsey residents are still waiting to meet you and we have some lovely treats in store for our visitors.
Throughout November we are offering daily Walk and Talk tours, where you will have the chance to meet our resident equines, including all our Adoption Stars, Gulliver, Maya, donkeys Wiggins and Wacko and our notorious herd of Shetlands, The Gangsters! Take the opportunity to find out a little more about our residents’ routine care and how they came to be at Redwings. Tours begin daily at midday.
Also, at 2pm every day we are offering pony grooming taster sessions! Sorry grown-ups, this one is just for the children. Our ponies enjoy a good groom, after all they do love to roll whatever the weather, and at this time of year it doesn’t take long for them to look a little muddy! Pony grooming sessions can be booked at the information centre on the day for a donation of £3
We are delighted to announce that an original pastel drawing of our beautiful Adoption Star Maya is now available for auction. If you would like to bring home a unique portrait of the lovely Maya, come along and place your bids! The portrait, and the current highest bid amount, will be on display at Redwings Aylsham throughout November. Auction forms are available from the visitor centre and bids will be accepted daily until 4pm on Sunday 30th November. Telephone bids will be accepted on Sunday 30th November only.
Every Monday and Friday throughout November we have a special Christmas shopping offer: after a wintery walkabout around our paddocks, come in and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee and a delicious mincemeat slice in our café when you spend £15 in our gift shop!
For more information about Redwings Aylsham’s winter activities and opening times, please ask at the visitor centre, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our visitor helpline on 0870 040 0033.
Please note: for pony grooming we have three places available each day for children a minimum of 5 years old. Sturdy, closed toe footwear must be worn, to protect little toes! All activities are subject to change.
