Donated Tack Assistant


To assist Redwings Horse Sanctuary by providing your time to carry out pre-agreed tasks which support the charity in achieving its purpose and mission.


Below is a description of the type of tasks that you may undertake during your placement:


  • Clean donated tack, ensuring all donated tack is fully cleaned as specified within Redwings SOP 7.1 All Donated Items.
  • Ticketing donated tack items, with prices under the guidance of the Gifts in Kind Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain a list of all donated tack held.
  • Maintain the store area/room, ensuring the area is kept clean, tidy and safe and the tack is well organised for easy access.
  • Support at tack sale events when required, assisting the Gifts in Kind Manager by organising tack ready for sale and helping at the event.
  • Ensure the SOP 7.1 All Donated Items is adhered to in relation to the handling of any donated items.



All volunteers must be sympathetic to and able to project the philosophy and concept of equine welfare; supporting a charity, and Redwings values.

Redwings Horse Sanctuary is very much a community and all volunteers are encouraged to be part of its day to day life.

All volunteers must take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.

This role is currently available at Redwings Ada Cole, Redwings Aylsham, Redwings Caldecott and Redwings Oxhill.
