Kitchen Assistant

“A pinch of patience, a dash of kindness, a spoonful of laughter…”

As a Volunteer Kitchen Assistant, at Gulliver's cafe at Redwings Aylsham Visitors Centre, you’ll probably need all of the above. It’s a recipe for a fun working environment and that’s how we like it here, because – let’s face it - working in a kitchen is never going to be glamorous, is it?!

For a couple of hours, a week, you could help us set up the kitchen, or prepare food for our visitors for the day ahead. You might do some washing-up, deliver food to tables, clear down and wipe them clean.

Of course, we hope you might also like to engage with our visitors as you go about your work and share some of our passion for horses and donkeys along the way.

If you can offer us some of your precious time, the Visitor Centre Team would welcome you and support your training to help us make the visitor journey really special.
