Banish summer boredom at Redwings Mountains!

If you’re looking for activities to keep the whole family entertained this summer, then why not head over to Redwings Mountains where you’ll be able to join in with a jam-packed schedule of activities!

There’s something for everyone to enjoy, from fascinating talks and donkey grooming sessions to special meet ‘n’ greets with some of the Sanctuary’s most lovable residents, including super-cute Adoption Star Dayzee and adorable donkey Minnie.

Keen ramblers will also be able to enjoy over 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland, with opportunities for nature fans to spot wildlife, including red squirrels, deer and mountain birds.

Redwings Mountains’ Summer Club will also return this year providing exciting hands-on activities for children, aged six to 11, giving them a glimpse into what it’s actually like to work at Redwings! The first Summer Club session will kick-off on Friday 5th July. Adoption Star Dayzee will also be celebrating her 9th birthday with a party on Sunday 21st July. The birthday girl will be treated to a pampering groom and her very own cake, as well as meeting her lovely fans during her parade!

After you’ve enjoyed making plenty of new four-legged friends, why not put your feet up with a drink and a tasty snack in our café? There’s also a gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs with all proceeds going towards supporting the 1,500 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in Redwings’ care nationwide.

Redwings Mountains, near Forfar in Angus (DD8 3SQ), is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). And, best of all, entry is completely free! Dogs on leads are welcome too.
