Thank you to our wonderful supporters who have voted us through to a shortlist of charities in with a chance of being awarded a grant of £50,000!
Last December, SEIB Insurance Brokers asked its customers to nominate a good cause they felt should be given this substantial donation and we’re thrilled to say that Redwings Horse Sanctuary has made it through to the final eight.
SEIB is due to name the lucky recipient of the grant at the end of April.
With this fantastic amount, we would be able to build a bespoke horse box to be based at our Oxhill Visitor Centre in Warwickshire, which currently has no horsebox of its own.
This horsebox would play an integral role in helping us to expand our rescue work in western England and Wales. An exciting training facility is also being constructed at Redwings Oxhill so we can rehome horses in central England. The horsebox, therefore, will have the heart-warming job of transporting rescued horses to their new Guardian homes, just like Oakley (pictured above).
By giving more equines the chance to enjoy happy lives outside of the Sanctuary, this horsebox will be pivotal in creating more space at Redwings so even more horses and donkeys in desperate need can be brought to safety.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us and we’re keeping all of our fingers (and hooves!) crossed for good news next month!
