We’re celebrating the May holiday at Redwings Mountains, near Forfar, with a series of fun-filled horse-themed activities, perfect for keeping the whole family entertained.
You’ll have a chance to meet horsey residents, including Adoption Star Gibson, find out how we care for our horses during fascinating talks and even have a go at pony grooming yourself!

Gibson (pictured above) is especially excited as he will also be celebrating his fifth birthday with a special party on Sunday 2nd June – and everyone is invited! Kicking off at 11.30am, Gibson will be treated to a special groom before tucking into his very own birthday cake! There’ll also be party games to play and a quiz trail to enjoy.

With over 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland, Redwings Mountains also provides plenty of opportunities for nature fans to spot wildlife, including red squirrels, deer and mountain birds.
Why not take a relaxing stroll and then put your feet up with a drink and a tasty snack in our Nosebag Café? There’s also a gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs with all proceeds going towards supporting the 1,500 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in Redwings’ care nationwide.
Redwings Mountains, in Milton of Ogil, Glenogil, is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Entry and parking are free, and dogs on leads are welcome.
