Delightfully dotty pony Cookie is our Adoption Star of the Month!
By shopping with Redwings, you're helping us care for our 1,500 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules!
Our horses, like Audrey, are relying on as much as ever as we face ongoing challenges due to the pandemic.
We’re celebrating all that we love about donkeys this Christmas at Redwings Mountains with a jam-packed schedule of donkey-themed activities.
Running over three weekends and beginning on Friday 22nd December, find out how we care for our donkeys during insightful talks and tours, get up close with Adoption Star donkey Minnie, her son Mouse and their long-eared friends (as well as Blue the mule and Molly the hinny!). You can even have a go at donkey grooming yourself!

But don’t forget, there’s also plenty of other rescued residents who’d love a cuddle this Christmas time, including handsome cob and Adoption Star Gibson, and extra-cute Shetland pony Dayzee.
And while you’re with us, did you know that Redwings Mountains offers 220 acres of paddocks and woodland to explore, so why not take the opportunity to pull on your walking boots and take in the beautiful scenery? See if you can spot some of the wildlife which also calls the visitor centre home, such as red squirrels and deer (sadly no reindeer!).
Redwings Mountains is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, as well as Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). And entry is free!
There’s also a gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs (and Christmas presents!) with all proceeds going towards the care of the 1,500 horses ponies, donkeys and mules looked after by Redwings nationwide.
We look forward to seeing you, and wish you a very Merry Christmas from everyone at Redwings Mountains!
