If you’re horse or donkey mad, then our Redwings Mountains visitor centre, near Forfar in Angus, is the place to visit this autumn holiday.
Kicking off on Friday 4th October for five consecutive weekends, we’ll be hosting an array of horse and donkey-themed activities, perfect for entertaining the whole family.
Adoption Star Gibson is ready and waiting to meet his fans, while Molly is excited to explain what hinnies are during their very own meet and greet sessions. For those wanting to learn more about how we care for our rescued residents, we have plenty of insightful talks to join in with, including discovering all about our quarantine process. For young visitors wanting to get a little more hands on, pony grooming sessions are available for £3.

We Love Horses – Friday 4th October – Monday 21st October

Visitors are also welcome to explore over 220 acres of beautiful paddocks and woodland, with plentiful opportunities to spot an array of wildlife, including red squirrels, deer and mountain birds. While you’re visiting, why stop by our café for a hot drink and tasty slice of cake before having a browse of our gift shop, with all proceeds going towards supporting the rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in Redwings’ care nationwide.
Redwings Mountains, near Forfar in Angus (DD8 3SQ), is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free and dogs on leads are welcome too!
