Treat your mum at Redwings this Mother's Day!

We're offering a very special treat for families to enjoy together over this year’s Mother's Day weekend.

Our Redwings Caldecott visitor centre, near Great Yarmouth, will be hosting a celebratory afternoon tea, coupled with a chance to meet gorgeous little Adoption Star donkey Esther.

On either Saturday 21st March or Sunday 22nd March, families can gather in the centre’s new café and enjoy an afternoon tea of home-made finger sandwiches, scones and cakes, while a smaller version will be also be available for children.

During the day, everyone will also have the chance to meet and enjoy a cuddle with Esther, a super-friendly donkey who was rescued from severe neglect 12 years ago when she was a two-month-old foal. Esther now lives at Redwings Caldecott with her own mum Martha!

The afternoon tea costs £16.95 per person or £6.95 for any children under 10-years-old, and every mum comes away with a year’s adoption of Esther (normally valued at £15). As part of the adoption, each mum will be given a lovely Adoption Pack including a certificate, Esther’s story and her photograph.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance, so please call 01493 488217 to find out more.

All proceeds from the special afternoon tea will be used to help care for the hundreds of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in our care.

Our Redwings Aylsham visitor centre, north of Norwich, will also be celebrating Mother's Day weekend with a special offer in it's cafe. On both Saturday 21st March and Sunday 22nd March, everyone will be able to enjoy a cupcake with a tea or coffee for just £3.00.

Together, both centres are home to almost 200 of our rescued residents making them wonderful places to enjoy a walk with the family on Mother’s Day. Entry is free and dogs on leads are welcome.

Redwings' visitor centres are open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm. Click here for more information.
