Join us as we pull together for the love of our rescued horses to minimise the impact of Covid-19.
Join Adoption Star Minnie, her son Mouse and all of their donkey pals for our special “We Love Donkey” activity weeks, kicking off at Redwings Mountains, near Forfar, on Friday 30th March.
Over three weekends, you’ll have the chance to go nose-to-nose with our long-eared residents during special meet and greet sessions, find out all about how we care for our donkeys, and you can even have a go at donkey grooming yourself!
Visitors will also have the chance to help make enrichment toys filled with carrots on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April in celebration of International Carrot Day.
On Monday 2nd April we'll also welcoming our newest Adoption Star, adorable Shetland pony Dayzee, with a special party! From 11:30am, Dayzee will enjoy a lovely relaxing groom before her parade and tucking into a “Welcome to the Adoption Scheme” cake.

We Love Donkeys: Friday 31st March to Monday 16th April
With 220 acres of paddocks and woodland to walk around, rare wildlife to spot and over 100 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules to cuddle, Redwings Mountains is a great day out. And don’t forget to stop by our Nosebag Café for a slice of cake and a warm drink, and enjoy a browse around our gift shop to pick up a souvenir.
Redwings Mountains, in Milton of Ogil, Glenogil, is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). Entry and parking are free and dogs on leads are welcome!
