This Easter, meet our adorable donkeys and their friends at Redwings Ada Cole, near Harlow, as part of our “We Love Donkeys” holiday activities.
Adoption Star Del Boy and his best friend Rodney can’t wait to have lots of cuddles with their fans. Visitors can also pop along to one of our fascinating talks and discover how we look after our long-eared friends, meet Marmite our marvellous mule and have a go at donkey grooming!
Redwings Ada Cole, in Epping Road, Nazeing, is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). Entry and parking are free and dogs on leads are welcome.
You'll also have the exciting opportunity to meet the visitor centre's four new donkeys - Sam, Lulu, Lucy and Maria! The adorable foursome recently came to Redwings and are now ready to greet their first visitors.
The gorgeous group arrived at the Sanctuary following a request from their previous owner who, unfortunately, was no longer able to care for them and was struggling to find a home where they could remain together. Due to donkeys' complex care needs, we have an open door policy for these lovable long-eared creatures and we were more than happy to offer them a new forever home.

One pony resident in particular is really looking forward to the holidays as not only is it Easter, but it’s also Adoption Star Tinkerbell’s birthday! The adorable Shetland pony will be celebrating her ninth birthday on Sunday 9th April from 11.30am with a special party. The birthday girl will enjoy a special groom before her parading in front of her visitors and tucking into a special horsey cake!

We look forward to seeing you!
