Wheeling and dealing donkey Del Boy will be celebrating his 16th birthday this May with a special party at Redwings Ada Cole, and everyone’s invited!
And it’s twice the excitement as this year Del Boy will be joined by special guest Jonny Mitchell from ITV 2’s Love Island.
Kicking off at 11:30am on Sunday 13th May, Del Boy will be treated to a groom to get him looking ship-shape for his birthday parade. As Del Boy is still recovering from extensive treatment for his hooves, his parade will take place in the donkey barn, where visitors will still get the chance to treat him to lots of scratches and cuddles.
He'll then be able to get to tuck into his very own birthday cake. There will also be a Del Boy themed quiz trail, party games and the chance to meet mascot Wings!
You can view the full schedule of Del Boy’s party here.
After the party, why not explore Redwings Ada Cole further and enjoy even more cuddles with some of the donkeys and horses who also call the visitor centre home.
You too can tuck into slice of cake in our onsite café, plus we have a gift shop offering a wide range of souvenirs with all proceeds supporting the 1,500 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in Redwings’ care nationwide.
Redwings Ada Cole, near Harlow, is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm (closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). Entry is free and dogs on leads are welcome too!
We hope we’ll see you there!
