“...we’ll be celebrating my 14th birthday!”
Say “Bonjour” to cheeky Del Boy the donkey as he celebrates his birthday with a party at Redwings Ada Cole on Sunday 8th May.
Adoption Star Del Boy and his donkey partner in crime Rodney arrived at Redwings from an animal education centre that sadly had to close due to the recession. At Redwings, we have an open door policy for these unique long-eared creatures due to donkeys’ complex care needs so we were delighted to welcome the pair to the Sanctuary.
Indeed, the lovable duo never fail to entertain staff and visitors alike with their endless games of chase around their paddock and are always ‘on the make’ for a cuddle or two!
Del’s big day will kick-off at 11.30am with a pampering groom then you’ll get the chance to give him plenty of celebratory hugs during his birthday donkey parade and play lots of fun party games. Download Del Boy's birthday party schedule here.
You’ll also be able to watch the birthday boy tuck into his own very special cake! Lovely jubbly!
While you’re there, why not take a stroll around the centre and get to know some of Del Boy’s other horsey and donkey friends? Then finish off the day with a warm cuppa and a bite to eat in our Nosebag café.
