Sponsoring a Redwings horse or donkey not only makes a special and unique Christmas gift, you are helping to ensure our rescued residents will continue to enjoy a safe and happy home this New Year.

Our Adoption Scheme, which has been running for over 35 years, allows you to sponsor one or more of our “Adoption Star” horses, ponies, donkeys and mules with all the money going towards their care and that of other four-legged residents at the Sanctuary – of which there are 1,500!

There are a number of wonderful characters, including gentle giant Shire horse Lady, adorable donkey Esther and a mischievous bunch of Miniature Shetland ponies named The Gangsters.

Those sponsoring a rescued horse or donkey for Christmas will receive:

• An adoption pack which comprises a beautiful photograph, a certificate and the Adoption Star’s story
• A postal update on the chosen Adoption Star’s adventures and antics
• An online diary featuring photos and blogs about their life at Redwings
• An opportunity to visit the chosen Adoption Star at the centre where they live
• A Friendship Card to treasure as a reminder of the adoption star.
