Looking to the future - Your donation today could help provide the best possible home for life for neglected and mistreated horses, ponies and donkeys.
could help lay new surfaces to protect the feet of donkeys like Tim and Adel.
could be used to build new quarantine facilities, critical for bringing rescued horses into sanctuary care.
could help to build two new barns which will enable a horse that needs to stay indoors to be kept company by a friend.
The day after his rescued mother Mary was brought into our care, Timothy was born at Redwings Horse Sanctuary. That day was nearly fifteen years ago. Along with close friend Cain, Timothy has grown into a playful – and often vocal – resident who today lives at our visitor centre in Oxhill, Warwickshire.
Adel was admitted to sanctuary care when she was nine years old, along with her foal Merlin. Like Timothy, Adel and her friends live at Oxhill, where we manage their daily care and ensure that their veterinary needs are met.
We want to provide Timothy, Adel and all the donkeys, ponies and horses in our care with the best possible home. Work has begun on some exciting new developments at Oxhill including spaces dedicated to resident donkeys.
"By building an area designed around our donkeys, we are providing them with an environment that supports the health of their hooves, gives interest and enrichment opportunities as well as private space that can be used whenever they choose."
Work to improve facilities is currently being carried out across several of Redwings’ sites. Each new project is designed to improve either the care given to our residents, the way horses are brought into the sanctuary, or how we show our work to our visitors.
You can donate as above, or text HOMES 10 to 70460 to donate £10*.
