Our third visit to Bodmin Moor this year saw us return with 16 abandoned ponies in desperate need of your help.
Together with colleagues from other agencies and charities, our team led a four-day operation this autumn where an incredible 169 ponies were rounded-up, health checked, wormed, microchipped and passported.
Those 16 we brought back to the Sanctuary with us were left unclaimed and in need of a loving home.
Can you help us care for them?
One pony (pictured above) was found with a nasty flesh wound on his side – an injury believed to have been caused by another stallion fighting over territory and mares. The injury could have been a lot worse, and had one of his mares or foals been caught up in the fight, they could have been killed.
Thankfully we found the little stallion and brought him home to our care.
He now needs daily veterinary treatment as well as nourishing feeds to help his body heal. In time, he will also need special one-to-one behavioural training to help him trust humans so that he can go on to live a safe and peaceful life.
All of the special care this little abandoned pony receives will be funded by you.
Please make a donation today and help care for him and all sixteen rescued ponies this winter and for the rest of their lives. Thank you.
