Magnum

Meet Magnum, a black Miniature Shetland who was reported to the police last summer when he was found tied up to railings on a car park in the busy town of Cromer. Thanks to the stray horse agreement Redwings has with Norfolk police within a couple of hours we were loading the pony onto a horsebox and bringing him into the safety of the Sanctuary.

Lovely Magnum just after he arrived at Redwings.

Our vet gave Magnum a thorough check over. His teeth showed that he was only around 3 years old. Magnum also had a very snotty nose, which can be a symptom of a serious illness called strangles, but thankfully our vet ran tests which showed that the infection was being caused by another, less serious bacteria, and that Magnum would be fine.

Magnum has now put his awful experience behind him and is enjoying life to the full at Redwings. He spends most of time eating and playing with his best friend Perry. He’s such a lovely little chap it’s difficult to imagine how anyone could have abandoned him in such a callous manner.

Magnum plays endlessly with his best friend Perry.
