Reporting a welfare concern
If you are ringing to report a horse, pony or donkey that you are concerned about, please try to provide information in response to the following questions:
- What is the cause for concern?
Particularly their colour and an indication of their size. - What is the exact location of the equine(s)?
You will need to provide directions to assist someone who may be coming from several miles away and is not familiar with the area.
- Are there any other equines / animals at the same location?
- Do you see the equine regularly? If so, how often and how closely?
- Can we take a daytime telephone number so that we can contact you for more information if necessary?
Please be assured that the identity of anyone who reports an animal to a welfare organisation is kept in the strictest confidence. This is not only a moral and professional obligation but a legal requirement.
