Meet the team
At Redwings we are lucky enough to have our own team of resident equine vets and veterinary nurses to care for our residents on a daily basis.
The Redwings vet team is based at our Hapton HQ where our Horse Hospital is situated, although they also travel to our other sites around the UK as and when needed, with support from local vets in emergency situations. The vet team is led by our Head of Veterinary Services and comprises four vets and nine veterinary nurses, including the only male equine veterinary nurse in the UK!
We are extremely fortunate to have two further vets working in our Welfare department, assessing new arrivals to the Sanctuary, assisting the RSPCA with prosecution cases, carrying out rescues and investigating possible cases of cruelty or neglect outside of Redwings.
