Birthday boy Will's on the beat

Come along to our Oxhill Rescue Centre on Sunday August 6th and help us celebrate in style!

It's ex-police horse Will's birthday on Sunday and we will be having a party at our Warwickshire centre to celebrate.

At 1pm there will be a birthday parade with lots of singing of 'Happy Birthday' and a very special equine birthday cake. We will have games and activities going on all day, with horse care demos and tours of the site, plus there will even be the chance to meet Redwings' mascot Red, who just loves to meet our supporters.

Our Oxhill centre is open from 10am to 5pm on Sunday and every day until October 29th, and entry is completely free of charge. You don't have to be a Will adopter to come along to his party, everyone's welcome, and the more of you that come, the louder his birthday song will be!

Birthday boy Will Scarlett

Will's full name is Will Scarlett and he used to work for the Nottinghamshire Police before permanent lameness forced him into early retirement. His work with the police included attending Nottingham Forest football matches and maintaining public order in the city. Now we think he thoroughly deserves to take the weight off his hooves and be made a fuss of!

To adopt Will Scarlett or one of the other Redwings' adoption equines, go to the Adoptions pages of this site or telephone 01508 481010. It's just £8.50 a year and all the proceeds going directly towards the care of our rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

If you would like more information about coming to Will's birthday party, go to the Visit Us pages of the site to find out how to get to our Warwickshire centre, or telephone 0870 040 0033.

We would love to see you!
