Handsome Rhadlon is the birthday boy!Lovely adoption pony Rhadlon will be celebrating his birthday this coming Sunday (August 20th) at the Ada Cole Rescue Centre near Harlow in Essex, and he would love you to join him!Rhadlon's birthday parade will be taking place at 1pm, with lots of singing and even a very special equine birthday cake just for him (although there might be some sharing!) The more of you Rhadlon fans that join us, the louder his birthday song will be! Throughout the day there will be games and activities going on as well as horsey care demonstrations and even an appearance from Redwings' mascot Red, who just loves cuddles! You don't have to adopt Rhadlon to come to his party, everyone's welcome and entry is free of charge. The centre is open daily 10am to 5pm and has a gift shop and information centre as well as ice creams and light refreshments for sale.
The Ada Cole Memorial Stables near Harlow in Essex became a new member of the Redwings family in October when the two charities merged, but it is one with a very long established reputation in the field of equine welfare. There are around 40 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules at the site; while some are permanent residents, others are there for rehabilitation with a view to finding them caring foster homes. There are five equines available for adoption, including birthday boy Rhadlon, plus Misfit the cheeky Shetland and Boo the handsome Arab.
