Recruitment Day at Redwings HQ

Come along to our Hapton HQ on February 2nd for a very special recruitment event

We will be holding a Recruitment Day this Saturday (Feb 2nd) at 10.30am for horse care and visitor centre staff for our seasonal Caldecott Visitor Centre in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

There’s a choice of ‘hands on’ positions for working with the horses, or if you prefer people there are positions to suit you too! Just arrive at 10.30am to meet staff, enjoy an introduction to Redwings, ask questions and have a short interview.

All positions will be based at the Caldecott Visitor Centre in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk and come with a competitive wage and paid holiday.

Firstly, we are looking for ‘hands on’ horse care staff to join an existing team caring for rescued and rehabilitated horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Knowledge of basic stable duties is essential but there will be no riding involved. A positive and helpful personality is necessary in order to join the team, as the role is very physical and requires good team working skills. Candidates will be expected to work a flexible rota and be confident communicating with the public.

In addition, we also need front of house staff to work in the shop, café and reception area of the visitor centre. You must be bright, cheerful, flexible and reliable, with the ability to communicate effectively with the public. Ideally candidates will have proven retail experience/hands on catering experience and a Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.

The Recruitment Day is being held at our headquarters in the village of Hapton, just off the A140 north of Long Stratton. Refreshments will be provided and no appointment is necessary, the more the merrier!

Candidates must be aged 18 or over. Please wear suitable clothing and sensible footwear as there will be a tour of our stable yard and veterinary facilities during the morning.

We hope to see you there!
