Our Online adoption is here!Our brand new Online adoption is now up and running, and is a fantastic way to support usThe Redwings Adoption Club is a fantastic way to help the Sanctuary’s 1000 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. You can choose from more than 20 special horses, ponies, donkeys and mules to adopt – ranging from tiny cheeky Miniature Shetland Wensley to pretty donkey Felicity to towering 18.1hh Shire Victor. As well as the option of receiving our revamped 'Nosebag' pack when you adopt, you can now also choose to take out an online version! This unique option is great for horse lovers who enjoy using the Internet but also the perfect choice if you want to help the environment plus increase the amount of money that goes straight to our horses and ponies as we can save the cost of printing and postage. If you choose the online option you will gain access to your horse's online 'Nosebag' where you can read your adoption horses’s regular blog, download extra photos and wallpapers, and even watch videos! You will also be able to access your new friend’s exclusive ‘online paddock’ to enjoy a virtual pat and catch up to keep you going between visits to the real thing!
The cost per year per equine is just £12.50 a year, amounting to little over £1 a month. You may wish to select a type of horse or pony that is special to you, or you may be moved by a particular pony’s story. Many have been rescued from terrible circumstances such as friendly Welsh pony Rhadlon who was locked in a stable for four years or Oliver Twist, left unwanted at a horse sale because of his twisted muzzle. There are some lovely donkeys to choose from too, including gentle Louie who was rescued from neglect and cheeky Denise who was hand reared by the Redwings vet team and thinks she’s a human!
Adoptions are a brilliant way for people to help us, explains Chief Executive Lynn Cutress: “We don’t mind if people adopt by post or adopt online, the choice is yours, but we hope we’ve now made it even easier for people to help us help horses.
