Muffin is the birthday boy on Sunday!

Muffin the mule will be the star at our Caldecott centre on Sunday April 13th

It is Muffin's birthday next week and to celebrate we will be holding a special party for him at our Caldecott Visitor Centre near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk this coming Sunday.

Everyone is welcome to come along to help this lovely mule celebrate his day, and as always entry is totally free of charge. The more people that come along, the louder his birthday song will be!

The day begins at 10am and during the morning there will be a grooming demonstration and then mascots Red and Wings will be meeting and greeting our visitors.

At 1pm there will be a birthday parade, when handsome Muffin will enjoy a delicious 'Mule-friendly' birthday cake and meet all his fans. Then in the afternoon there will be an activity for the children and a walking tour of the site with one of our friendly members of staff, with the chance to find out more about our lovely residents.

Our Caldecott Visitor Centre has over seventy acres of paddocks and is home to some very special rescued horses, ponies, donkeys, plus a few mules. Our Caldecott site has an Information & Welcome Centre, Nosebag Café and terrace, Gift Shop, donated goods charity shop, Tombola and the Horse Wise Education Centre with horsey facts, displays and interactives.

For more information on how to visit us, follow this link >>>>>> or give us a call on 0870 040 0033.

Muffin the mule was rescued with his mother in 1987 when he was only a few days old. He has been at the sanctuary now for many years and particularly loves being our only adoption mule as it means he gets even more attention and fuss!

To adopt Muffin or one of his friends, telephone 01508 481010 or follow this link to the Adoptions pages of this site >>>>>>>>>. Adopters get regular updates and photos from their chosen special friend, and all the money raised through the scheme goes directly towards the care of our rescued residents.
