Finnegan's the star!On Sunday May 28th we celebrated Finnegan's birthday with a party at our Stonham Rescue Centre, Suffolk.This very special chap had his birthday parade at 1pm on Sunday, featuring an extra special equine birthday cake and the chance for our visitors to play Pass the Parcel! From 12 noon there was the opportunity to meet Redwings' mascots Red and Wings, and in the afternoon there were demonstrations and a guided tour of the centre with the chance to learn more about our rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.
Throughout the day we were running a 'Find Finnegan' competition to win a year's adoption, and there was also an extra special 'Finnegan birthday quiz' with a free poster for every one that's returned. Stonham Rescue Centre is a very pleasant site with more than 50 horsey residents, including Katy the pony, Choccy the donkey and Harry the miniature Shetland. It is situated at the Stonham Barns complex on the A1120 just past Stonham Aspal, and is open every day from 10am until 5pm. Entry is free of charge.
