Dolly's the StarIt was Dolly's turn to shine at Redwings Ada Cole Rescue Centre on Sunday June 11 as we celebrated her birthday.Dolly is one of five adoption equines available at the Essex centre, and it was time to make a huge fuss of her on Sunday, with a birthday parade and even a special equine birthday cake, just for her.
Throughout the day there were horse care demonstrations and competitions for all ages, and with more than 50 horsey residents and many improvements made to the site over the past few months, our Essex visitor centre is well worth a visit. The Ada Cole Memorial Stables became part of the Redwings family in October 2005 following a merger between the two charities, but it is one with a very long established reputation in the field of equine welfare. Entry to the site is free of charge and the Ada Cole Rescue Centre is open daily, 10am to 5pm, until the end of October.
