Double celebration this weekend!
It’s party time this weekend as adoptions Denise and Dylan both celebrate their birthdays on Sunday 4th September.
Denise, our cheeky adoption donkey, will be having her party at our Caldecott Visitor Centre in Norfolk, while Dylan the Welsh pony is the birthday boy at our new Oxhill Rescue Centre in the Midlands.
Both Denise and Dylan will be having a birthday parade at lunchtime, and the day’s entertainment will also include walking tours, competitions and demonstrations. Entry to both centres is completely free and the more people who come and join the celebrations, the happier our two stars will be!

Denise is a beautiful skewbald donkey who loves to give our staff the run-around on a regular basis! She has been with us since 1996 when she was rescued as a week-old foal and had to be bottle-fed - bless! Denise lives with a herd of 20 donkeys at our Caldecott Visitor Centre near Great Yarmouth. The group also includes handsome Tufty, another of our adoption donkeys who just loves to meet his fans.
Dylan is a dapple grey pony who was rescued from the Welsh commons. He has a condition known as ‘locking stifles’, which meant he was having real trouble finding food to eat on the commons. We took him in and he is now thriving at our new Oxhill Rescue Centre in the Midlands, playing all day long with his best friends Stig and Snuffles!

For information on how to reach our visitor centres, please phone our helpline on 0870 040 0033 or go to the ‘Visit Us’ pages of this website. You can adopt Denise, Dylan or one of our other adoption horses, ponies, donkeys or mules for as little as £8.50 a year. Go to the Adoptions pages for more information.
